Information you provide

The signup form collects your email address, your community if you choose to provide it, and your consent to receive Route Buddy launch and early-access email updates. Our signup records also include the signup time. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you include in that message.

Why we collect it

We use signup information to manage the waitlist, share launch and early-access updates, and understand interest across communities. Your optional community helps us plan availability. We use enquiries to respond to your questions and feedback.

Storage and service providers

Signup records are stored in the database used to operate this website. Website hosting, database and email service providers may process information as needed to support these functions. We do not sell your email or share it with other businesses for their marketing.

Your choices

Signing up is voluntary. You can withdraw email consent, ask to correct your details, or request deletion by emailing support@routebuddy.ca from the address you registered with. We retain signup information while it is needed for launch updates, unless you ask us to delete it.

Web app login and account information

When you sign in to the web app, your email and password are sent securely to the existing Route Buddy backend to authenticate your account. The website does not save your password. It stores the returned session token in a secure, HTTP-only cookie to access your profile and listings. Password reset and email verification requests are also sent to the Route Buddy backend. Profile changes update your existing Route Buddy account.

Cookies and administration

The public waitlist form does not require an account or sign-in. Restricted administration tools use authentication to protect access to signup records. Hosting infrastructure may process technical request information to deliver and secure the website.
