Route Buddy
HOW ROUTE BUDDY WORKS

Frequently asked questions

A few things to know before we launch.

What is Route Buddy?

Route Buddy is a community delivery marketplace being developed for rural Canada. It aims to connect neighbours already heading to town with residents who need a pickup or delivery.

Is the app available now?

Not yet. Route Buddy is in development. This website explains the service and collects voluntary launch-update signups. We’ll announce public availability when it is ready.

Where will it launch?

We are planning an initial rollout in southwestern Manitoba, with Reston, Melita, Cromer and Virden in mind. Exact launch communities and timing are still to be confirmed.

Do I need separate accounts to drive and request deliveries?

No. The app is designed around one account with both options: post a trip when you’re travelling, or request a delivery when you need something brought home.

How will trips and requests connect?

People travelling can post their route and timing. Residents can browse those trips or post an open request describing the pickup they need. Participants can then coordinate delivery details through the app.

What kinds of pickups is it designed for?

Everyday errands such as groceries and routine store pickups are the intended use. Supported items, restrictions and delivery rules will be specified before launch.

What will it cost?

Final fees and payment terms will be explained before the service opens for bookings. Joining the launch-update list is free and does not commit you to using or paying for the service.

Are the app screenshots real deliveries?

The screenshots are app design previews. The people, ratings, routes and stores shown are illustrative, and the design may change before launch.

What happens when I join the waitlist?

We save your email and optional community to send launch and early-access updates. You can withdraw consent or request deletion by emailing support@routebuddy.ca.

How do I contact the team?

Email support@routebuddy.ca for questions, feedback or community enquiries.
