About Route Buddy

Route Buddy is a rural community delivery platform in development, based in Rural Southwestern Manitoba. We’re building a way for people heading to town to connect with neighbours who need something picked up and brought home.
Why we’re building it
In a rural community, a simple errand can mean a long drive. Meanwhile, someone nearby may already be taking that trip. Route Buddy’s purpose is to help those journeys connect, so residents can arrange pickups and people already travelling can offer a helping hand.

Request a delivery
Describe what you need, create a shopping list and look for a neighbour travelling in the right direction. Coordinate the pickup and delivery through the platform.
Starting in southwestern Manitoba
Our initial rollout is being planned around Reston and nearby communities, including Melita, Cromer and Virden. We intend to learn from local use before expanding. Joining the waitlist helps us understand where people are interested; it does not guarantee service in a particular community.
Product development
The app is currently in development and is not yet available for public delivery bookings. The screens on this website are product design previews, with illustrative people, stores, trips and ratings. Final features, fees, launch dates and availability will be communicated before launch.
